Who we are

The data controller is Jake Rutter trading as MILA Digital Creations, a website design studio based in South Walesand working with businesses across the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@miladigital.uk.

Information we collect

When you complete an enquiry or order form we collect:

• Your name and business name
• Your email address and, if you provide it, your telephone number
• Your existing website address, if you provide one
• Your project type, estimated budget and preferred timescale
• The description of your business and project that you write
• The answers you select in the website package estimator
• Your consent, and the date and time your enquiry was received
• Order details, package choices, project requirements and payment status

Card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure hosted checkout and are not entered on or stored by this website. We do not intentionally collect special category personal data.

Why we collect it

We use your details for one purpose: to understand your enquiry and respond to it with a recommendation, a quote or a follow-up question. This is done on the basis of your consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract and our legitimate interests in replying, providing services, preventing misuse and keeping appropriate business records. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

How it is stored

Enquiries and orders are stored in a secure, access-controlled database used only by MILA Digital Creations. Submissions cannot be read by other website visitors. Where an email notification is enabled, a copy of your enquiry is also sent to our business email address. We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for an active project, legal claim or tax record. Contract and order records may be kept for up to seven years to meet legal and accounting obligations.

Service providers and transfers

We use trusted providers for secure hosting, database services, business email and payment processing. Stripe processes card payments on its hosted checkout. Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom; where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted administrative access to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we review access and only retain information that is needed.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Because no non-essential cookies are set, no cookie banner is shown. If that changes, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested first.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where the right applies, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@miladigital.uk with a clear subject such as “Data access request” or “Deletion request”. We normally respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
